A constant velocity joint is used in the independent suspension system to transmit the power in constant velocity by placing the contact points of two shafts along the bisection line of the cross angle of the shafts when transmitting the power between the driving shaft and driven shaft.

In the constant velocity joint, there is a cage support the balls and a rubber boot to make sure the grease is not leaked where the shafts are inserted. As time passes, the rubber boot may be cracked to leak the grease of the joint bearing and generate the noise during sharp direction change. As it may even break down if time passes further, it must be replaced in time.
